Five for Friday!

Yay, Five for Friday is back! Well, it was actually back last week but I missed that one because I was out of town. To be honest, I am EXHAUSTED from working in the classroom but I just have to do this! So here it goes!

1. So like I said, I was out of town last Friday until Sunday. Sunday is part of this week so I guess I can talk about it! xP

Where was I? My brother is back from college so we went on a family outing to the Red Bluff/Redding area. We visited the Shasta Dam, Turtle Bay Exploratorium Park, and Lassen Volcanic National Park. On the way back to the Bay Area we also stopped at Mt. Tamalpais State Park near San Francisco. Pictures from the adventures below!

2. Started really working on the classroom this week. I even brought my brothers to school with me to help out. Siblings = free labor. Pretty awesome. Of course, I bought them lunch and dinner. We also went to watch Monsters University after. Cute movie!

3. My Vistaprint creations have arrived! I wrote about using Vistaprint in a previous post. I didn't take pictures of all my creations but here's the notebook! I'm excited to start using it! :)

4. On Thursday, I decided to take a break from the classroom and went to Great America (a local amusement park) with my brothers. I got some fillings done before I went and was basically numb and couldn't eat for the next four hours! But it's okay. I still had fun! :)

Snoopy! Couldn't smile because my mouth was numb. :X
My lunch after the numbness finally left. So unhealthy, I know!
5. After much debate, I decided to go back to my classroom today (one hour commute one way). I was feeling a bit overwhelmed when I left the classroom on Wednesday since I didn't feel like I was making as much progress as I wanted to. But the good news is that I feel much better after today! I threw out some stuff, almost finished the classroom library, figured out how I would do my desk groupings, and started unpacking some boxes. Whew! Still not ready to show any pictures yet but I will leave you with a picture of the view from my new classroom! :)

Alrighty, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! Don't forget to link up! :)

  1. I have lived in California all my life and I have never been to San Francisco. I want to go so bad.

    1. Haha! I live 30 mins away from San Francisco and I pretty much never go unless someone is visiting! Where in California do you live? :)

  2. Your travels look like a lot of fun! I used to live in Sacramento, and never traveled much around the Red Bluff/Redding area. It looks like a lot of fun.
