First off...I am changing classrooms this year and am excited/nervous about setting up in my new classroom. What I'm really wondering is the teacher (retired) has left behind for me to deal with in the classroom. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get into the classroom for another two weeks but I did take some pictures of the classroom before summer hit so I could start thinking about it!
And now comes the first dilemma. This is what the classroom library looks like:
Colorful boxes are nice and all, but I would REALLY like to put some shelves in there so that the books are more accessible. Unfortunately, that lone shelf there cannot be removed and is at a weird height that not many book shelves will fit. Any suggestions?

I absolutely LOVE Bloglovin! Not only do I use it to catch up on my blog reading, but it also seems to be helping me get followers much faster than Google Friend Connect ever did. I'm at 98 followers, folks! Only two more to reach 100! Maybe I'll have my first giveaway if I reach 100? :)
Which brings me to dilemma number two. I've been working on a new product (been a loong time) but am hitting a roadblock. So everything is basically done. I made the whole thing on Word and then saved it as a secured pdf document. The problem is, I can no longer annotate and save the annotations on the pdf because it is secured. I don't have any of the fancy Adobe programs, just my simple free Adobe reader. Is there any way I can fix this?
Thanks! Looking forward to reading your responses! :)
Maybe for you shelves you could measure and have a place like Home Depot cut a piece of wood for you. Then screw in on the ends shelf holders. Then the piece of wood would just slide in and be supported by the shelf holders. The holders are usually small clear shape that you screw in. Just an idea!!!

When I need to edit, I go back to the original. Then save and secure it again.

Thanks for the advice! But what I actually still have left to do is add hyperlinks to my pdf file which I can only do after I've converted it to pdf since the hyperlinks on the Word document don't convert with the pdf file. Hopefully that makes sense? :)

For the bookshelf you could try seeing what is on Craigslist. I had a post about that recently : ) You might find ikea's expedit 1x4 storage unit good to put books in the squares and along the top... http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20116274

Thanks for the idea, Lucy! I did go wander Ikea to see what furniture they might have that would work in the classroom. I just might get that 1x4 storage unit! Just need to get into the classroom to take some measurements. :)
